About Us

Salted Grounds began as a quiet dream during the chaos of a fast-paced life in tech. After 18 years of working behind a computer in the Silicon Valley and DC, scaling products, and leading launches at companies like Netflix, Meta, and Roku—I found myself longing for something slower, something real, something that brought a more direct and meaningful connection with people in the community.

What started as a hobby—roasting beans and experimenting with Korean-style pastries with my mother-in-law (who is the master baker behind Salted Grounds!), quickly became a passion project, and brought Salted Grounds to life in Fairfax, VA!

At Salted Grounds, we specialize in Korean-inspired artisanal pastries—like our signature Salt Bread (Shio Pan)—and home-roasted specialty coffee, crafted to pair perfectly with each bite. 

Whether you’re grabbing a cup to-go or picking up a loaf for your family, we’re here to deliver that warm, soul-satisfying feeling of home-baked comfort, made with love.

We’re proudly serving at the Oakmont Farmers Market every Wednesday, and we’re just getting started.
